About Ohana Care Clinic “No One Left Behind”
Ohana Care Clinic of Africa is a primary healthcare initiative established by Sweet Aroma Foundation (SAF) in partnership with Kadesh Hope Mission of Africa (KHMA). Situated in the heart of Maili Nne along the Eldoret–Uganda Road, the clinic was founded in response to a growing need for accessible, affordable, and compassionate healthcare services within a rapidly expanding and diverse urban population.
Eldoret, a key regional hub serving multiple counties, continues to experience significant population growth, placing immense pressure on existing healthcare infrastructure. Communities in peri-urban areas such as Maili Nne face limited access to quality medical services, high disease burden, and financial barriers to care. Ohana Care Clinic was therefore envisioned as a solution—bridging the gap between need and access, while restoring dignity and compassion in healthcare delivery.
The clinic serves a multi-ethnic and multi-faith population, addressing both communicable diseases such as malaria and HIV/AIDS, and the increasing prevalence of non-communicable conditions including diabetes, hypertension, and maternal health challenges. Through a holistic and community-centered approach, Ohana seeks to transform healthcare delivery and improve overall well-being.

Foundation & Journey to Opening
The establishment of Ohana Care Clinic reflects a journey of vision, planning, and committed execution.
The process began with the identification of Maili Nne as a strategic underserved location. This was followed by detailed planning, architectural design, and approval of drawings to ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Construction works commenced with civil modifications, gypsum partitioning, electrical and plumbing installations, and interior finishing.
Over several months, key milestones were achieved, including tile work, painting, installation of glass fittings, cabinetry, and structural enhancements. Simultaneously, procurement of medical equipment, furniture, and essential supplies was carried out to prepare the facility for operation.
The final phase involved obtaining approvals from local authorities, recruiting qualified medical staff, and organizing operational systems. These combined efforts culminated in the successful opening of the clinic, marking a significant step toward serving the community.
This journey stands as a testimony of dedication, collaboration, and a shared commitment to improving lives through healthcare.
